Engineers assure the safety and efficiency of public and private infrastructure. Engineers provide designs so that the construc­tion/manufacturing industries can build the infrastructure and systems that serve our country.

Continually improving the safety and functionality of road and bridge design, building design, drinking and wastewater facilities, design of transportation vehicles (cars, busses and planes), cell phones and technology software, and countless others. Engineers consciously design and build improvements and try to make them cost-effective. Engineers also make improvements with public safety as a priority component.
